Orlando was born in Caracas, Venezuela where he began his musical training with the well-known teacher Julio Mendez.
He soon attracted attention and became one of the best and most demanded Venezuelan percussionists. He then studied Afro-Venezuelan percussion with teacher Miguel Urbina and later recorded and went on to accompany many famous national and international artists. He also taught in various percussion schools in Venezuela.
In 1991 Orlando is invited to work in Paris where he finds lots of professional opportunities
consequently he then

spent his time between Caracas and Paris. He makes his talents available to the best Latin artists of the Paris scene and to the Latin and jazz great names touring in France.
In 1995 he records his first album “Cimarroneando” in Caracas which he co-writes and co-arranges with the Cuban Orlando Maraca Valle (ex Irakere flautist).
Back in Paris, Orlando starts playing in all the famous Paris jazz clubs using 8 musicians among the best artists of the Paris Latin music scene. He names this group “CHAWORO”
In 1997, back in Caracas to record his second album "EL BUEN CAMINO". The album is released in France in February 98. Orlando tours intensively in France with his group "CHAWORO"
The end of 2001 is busy with the recording between Paris and Caracas of the third album "LO BUENO DE LA VIDA"
